Dr. Marchese is a board certified psychiatrist with more than twenty years of experience. He received his M.D. from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City and completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He is licensed to practice medicine in Florida and North Carolina.

Dr. Marchese was Medical Director for inpatient psychiatry at Shands Teaching Hospital and was on the faculty of the School of Medicine at the University of Florida for many years. While there, he started the Marital Therapy Clinic. Dr. Marchese has also worked in community mental health at the Veterans Administration Medical Center where he was Service Chief and in a hospital owned group practice. He has been in private practice in Gainesville since 2002 and relocated his office to the Haile Plantation Village Center in May 2005.

Dr. Marchese treats adults who present with depression, anxiety, adult ADHD, and other types of mood disorders. He does not treat substance abuse.

Dr. Marchese is an in-network provider for Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, Tricare, and United insurance. He also accepts self pay patients. All new patients are accepted on an approval basis by Dr. Marchese. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 10 AM are reserved and the only appointment times for new patient appointment.

Dr. Watson is a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of adolescents and adults. Her specialty area is health psychology, focusing on eating disorders, weight management, smoking cessation, and managing chronic illnesses. She also treats issues related to anxiety and depression including post-partum and pregnancy related depression.

Dr. Watson earned her Bachelors degree from Wake Forest University, her Masters degree from Villanova University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a focus on health psychology and eating disorders. Dr. Watson completed her post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida. She also has served as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Florida in the Department of Community Dentistry.

Dr. Watson is an in-network provider for Aetna, Medicare, Tricare, and accepts self pay patients.

Dr. Stiles-Glazer has been a licensed counseling Psychologist for 35 years. She provides psychotherapy for adults, adolescents and children, specializing in anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, including adult sexual abuse recovery. She also has a specialty in family therapy, helping couples working on pre-marital, marital, intimacy, and divorce concerns. Family therapy with all members and parenting support are provided when appropriate.

Other areas of specialty include: facilitating career development, diet and exercise support, acute and chronic illness management, pain management, and death and grief understanding.

Dr. Stiles-Glazer utilizes various therapeutic modalities, including examining family of origin issues, empathic communication development, relaxation and breathing techniques, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and interpersonal awareness development within sessions. She works with whatever goals each client presents to assist in individual understanding of the fabric of the client’s life. Soren Kierkegaard said: “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards."

Dr. Stiles-Glazer taught at the University of Miami in the Department of Counselor Education for more than 10 years, leaving as a tenured associate professor to pursue her private practice in Miami. At UM she specialized in teaching and researching clinical supervision, women’s issues, human sexuality, family violence/sexual abuse, and group psychotherapy.

She received her Master’s Degree in Guidance from Harvard University, where she was also a special student at the law school studying juvenile delinquency. She received her Doctorate (Ph.D.) from the University of Miami in Counseling Psychology. In 1991, she was appointed by Governor Lawton Chiles to a battered women’s syndrome panel.

Dr. Stiles-Glazer moved from a very enjoyable 20-year psychology practice in Miami to Gainesville 10 years ago and is enjoying her new community.

Dr. Stiles-Glazer arranges her appointments and can be reached directly by leaving a message at (305) 720-4472, or (352) 332-4566. She is not on any insurance panels and will discuss fees with each client who calls. She gives special consideration to students. She can facilitate clients who have PPO’s to file for their insurance. She has afternoon and early evening appointments available. She will respond to direct cell phone calls or message from clients experiencing emergencies whenever possible.
