Dr. Elizabeth Buckley
Dr. Buckley co-founded The Haile Psychiatry & Psychotherapy Group in 2005 with Dr. Marchese. She has been licensed and practicing psychology in the private practice setting in Gainesville since 1997. Dr. Buckley offers consultations and psychotherapy for individuals, couples and caregiving families, ages 18 to the elderly. She helps people with life transitions, depression, anxiety, effective lifestyle and study habits for students, relationship and marital adjustment, chronic illness and caregiver issues. Areas of special interest include resolution of disturbing memories, personality resource development, and peak performance coaching. Dr. Buckley is an advanced EMDR practitioner and often utilizes hypnosis and relaxation training as part of her integrative approach to psychotherapy.
Dr. Buckley trained in the northeast, receiving her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She did her predoctoral internship at Kings County Hospital Center / SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn, NY. Her postdoctoral fellowship in physical rehabilitation psychology was at Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation, outside Atlantic City, NJ. Since being in Gainesville, she has consulted for several skilled nursing facilities. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Florida Organization for Relational Studies.
Dr. Buckley currently accepts both cash and insurance. She is a preferred provider for the Blue Cross/ Blue Shield (BCBS) PPO and PPC insurance panels. She also accepts both Medicare and Tricare (military) insurance. Teletherapy (Skype or FaceTime) appointments are available to Florida residents.
